Our story
Founded in 1985 by Dr.-Ing. George Sergiadis. Led today by the next generation.
Dr.-Ing. George Sergiadis, of Aristotle University’s Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering, built elpra on a foundation of engineering excellence, deep technical expertise, and academic rigor. Over the decades, elpra has evolved into a company defined by innovation, precision, and reliability — a culture that continues to thrive under the leadership of the next generation.
Based in Thessaloniki, Greece, elpra draws from the city’s strong engineering tradition and rich talent pool to develop cutting-edge, multidisciplinary solutions. Operating both as a design house and an at-scale manufacturer, we deliver reliable, high-performance products that meet the most demanding standards.

Research partnerships
Solar2HyP: renewable hydrogen cogeneration
elpra was a partner in Solar2HyP, a Research–Create–Innovate project co-funded by Greece and the European Union. The project addressed an autonomous cogeneration system powered by renewable sources, combining a fuel cell, water electrolysis, and hydrogen storage. Our partners were the Institute of Chemical Engineering Sciences (ICE-HT/FORTH), CERTH, and MNLT.
