01

The customer

Sunlight is a large industrial group that produces many types of industrial and special batteries. It has been expanding continuously in recent years, acquiring similar companies around the world and entering new markets in batteries and related energy systems.

02

The challenge

Sunlight has a research and development division with hundreds of specialised engineers. It also has an in‑house test facility and team that certify its batteries against international standards, including military standards for some products.

Standard test equipment covers most of its needs. For some extreme test conditions it is not suitable, and the special tools on the market are either over‑specified or too expensive.

Sunlight also needs accessory components for its battery packs, such as electronic switches with specifications that do not exist on the international market.

03

What we built

We design and build components and test equipment that meet these needs, in reasonable time and at reasonable cost. They include a new electronic switch developed for Sunlight’s battery packs, and equipment for testing prototype battery packs.

04

The result

The new electronic switch lets Sunlight house more cells in the same battery pack, an advantage over its competitors.

The test equipment helped Sunlight test prototype battery packs and optimise production.
